Staying well hydrated to enjoy the summer

The summer season is well and truly underway in Quebec. In hot weather, in addition to seeking coolness, shade and water sources, it is important to remember to stay well hydrated. As a partner in your summer, we suggest our recipe for infused water. It is easy to prepare and adapt to your taste.

Here are the basic ingredients:

  • 4 liters of cold water
  • 1 pinch of salt

Ingredients for the Melon-Mint

  • 1 melon of your choice (cantaloupe, honeydew melon, canary melon, etc.)
  • Mint leaves (about ten)

Ingredients for the Fresh

  • Quebec strawberries and cucumbers
    • The more ingredients you add, the more colorful and aromatic your water will be.

Ingredients for the Refreshing

  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Basil leaves (ten)

For each recipe, put all ingredients in a pitcher and stir. Let infuse according to the desired flavour.

The advantage of infused waters is that you can be creative by using the ingredients you have at hand or by adjusting the quantities according to your taste. Plus, their summery colors and flavors will please your guests around the pool or the barbecue.
